Two youth, aged 14 and 15, have been charged following a pair of alleged break and enters at two homes in Peace River.

Mounties says they received reports of break and enters to two homes in the area of 94 Street and 89 Avenue on September 8.

As the home owners returned to their residences, they had discovered that items had been stolen and significant disturbances had been caused inside.

One of the home owners located two individuals inside of their home and confronted them before they fled the area.

Members of the Peace Regional RCMP and Peace River Forensic Identification Section responded to the reports and conducted an investigation, which eventually led to the identification and arrest of the individuals.

The two youths have been charged with break and entering a dwelling house and committing mischief, as well as two counts each of theft under $5,000.

Both youths have been conditionally released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Peace River Provincial Youth Court on October 18.

The names of the youth will not be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
