RCMP say a stolen property investigation that started in Saddle Hills County in August has led to charges against two people.

Mounties says that on September 8, the two were found in a stolen pick-up that had a firearm and ammunition inside.

A search of their property turned up another stolen pickup with a loaded firearm inside, a flat-deck trailer and a generator that had also been stolen, more ammunition, and cocaine.

Two people from Saddle Hills County, 32-year-old Darcy Beckman, and 30-year-old Serena Locke, are facing a total of 14 charges, including possession of property obtained by crime, altering a vehicle identification number, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

RCMP explain Beckman was already wanted on nine outstanding warrants and is facing additional charges of failure to comply with both release conditions and probation orders.

Beckman will stay in custody until appearing in Grande Prairie court on Monday.

Locke has been released and is due in Grande Prairie court on October 6.
