The province’s September 14 crop report says 44.3 per cent of the crop in the Peace Country had been combined as of that date.

That compares to the 23.4 per cent reported in the September 7 report.

The five-year average for September 14 is 10.1 per cent, the 10-year average 23.6.

The breakdown by crop is 88.1 per cent for dry peas, 63.1 for spring wheat, 48.5 for barley, 42 for oats and 18.9 for canola.

The report also says that as of September 14, 39 per cent of crops were still standing while the rest had been swathed.

The province also says some areas in the Peace had anywhere from 10 to 70 millimetres of rain during the time this new report covers.
