Catholic School District holding election forum October 7

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools will host an online election forum on October 7 for the candidates running in the trustee election.

It will start at 7 pm that day on Zoom.

Nine candidates, three of them incumbents, are running for the five spots in Ward 1, which takes in Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith and surrounding areas.

Ward 2, the Spirit River area, will be represented by Michelle Gemmell, who is in by acclamation.

No nominations have come in yet for Ward 3, which takes in Fairview and area.
