Once the flames were put out, police say human remains were found inside of a burned trailer.

An investigation into the fire has led to police charging 26-year-old Roderick Ellery-Sorensen with one count of second-degree murder and two counts of Arson – disregard for human life.

After a Judicial Hearing, Ellery-Sorensen was remanded into custody to appear in Peace River Provincial Court on Sept. 27, 2021.
