The Casey Scheidegger rink has clinched one of three direct berths into the Tim Horton’s Roar of the Rings Canadian Olympic curling qualifying event.

The Scheidegger rink, which includes Grande Prairie area curlers Cary-Anne McTaggart (third stones) and Kristie Moore (lead), went 3-and-1 at a five-team qualifying event held in Ottawa.

After dropping their opening game to Laura Walker (9-4), the Scheidegger foursome picked up wins over Kelsey Rocque (10-6), Suzanne Birt (9-2), and Corryn Brown (6-4).

The Rocque rink, from Edmonton, also qualified directly thanks to a 3-and-1 record.
