Oct 1, 2021 | 8:15 AM

The County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings are in the win column in the NWJHL standings.

Devin Klassen scored his second goal of the game on the power play early in the third to tie it, and Adam Morrow scored with less than three minutes to go in the third to break the deadlock to push the Kings past the Fairview Flyers 4-3 Thursday night.

Jeremy Niven and Alex Beardmore each added two assists for the Kings in the win, while Zane Labbe was the other goal scorer for the Kings.

The win moves the Kings to 1-2 on the season, while the Flyers drop to the same record.

Plenty more action is on the NWJHL schedule for this weekend, including the Dawson Creek Kodiaks visiting the North Peace Navigators and the Flyers hosting the Fort St. John Huskies Friday night.

Saturday night has the Navigators visiting the Kodiaks in Dawson Creek, while the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers will battle the JDA Kings at the Crosslink County Sportsplex.

All games on Friday and Saturday begin at 8 p.m.

Sunday afternoon has the Huskies visiting the Vipers, while the Kings will return to Fairview to play the Flyers.
