Gardner takes PBR Canada Buckwild event title

Jake Gardner gave the crowd at Grande Prairie’s Bonnett’s Energy Centre plenty to cheer about over the weekend.
The Fort St John bull rider was the top dog as the PBR Canada Buckwild event wrapped up Saturday night.
Gardner put up an event-best 89 score in the final round on Saturday, to finish ahead of Jordan Hansen of Okotoks and Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan’s Aaron Roy.
Gardner was able to stay on for all four of his rides over the course of the two-day competition, which also included a second-place finish in the 5 versus 5 event that wrapped up Friday night’s show.
