Valleyview RCMP seek witnesses after Highway 43 pedestrian hit and run

The Valleyview RCMP are looking for witnesses to come forward after a hit and run along Highway 43 which has left one person in critical condition.

Police responded to the reported hit and run about two kilometers west of Range Road 230 along the westbound lanes of Highway 43.

The victim, a 20-year-old female, was discovered in the ditch by passersby, and authorities believe the collision occurred between the hours of 5 and 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

RCMP say the victim was transported by STARS air ambulance to an Edmonton area hospital in critical condition.
