Bierd, Strang score twice as Storm fall to MOB in overtime
Veterans Nathaniel Bierd and Ethan Strang each scored twice, but it was not enough as the Grande Prairie Storm fell 5-4 in overtime to the Oil Barons Friday night in Fort McMurray.
The two teams traded goals through the first two periods of the game, with Strang potting his second of the game to give the Storm a 4-2 lead early in the third. However, power play goals from Rider McCallum and Brendan Wang, the latter of which came with 19 seconds remaining, sent the game to overtime.
Tristan Kimmen would then seal the win for the home side midway through the extra frame.
Storm goaltender Aidan Feddema made 31 saves in the OT loss. The MOB outshot the Storm 36-24 in the game.
