Fog advisory ended for Grande Prairie area

UPDATE: The fog advisory issued for the Grande Prairie area has ended.

Another fog advisory has been issued for the Grande Prairie area Wednesday evening.

Environment Canada says near zero visibility from fog is expected or occurring in parts of the region, particularly over Highway 40.

The fog is expected to dissipate Thursday morning.

Drivers are reminded to take precautions in such conditions such as slowing down, watching for tail lights ahead and being prepared to stop.

A fog advisory has been issued for the Grande Prairie area Wednesday morning.

Environment Canada says a dense fog has developed in the Peace Country, which is more widespread near the B.C. border.

The weather office warns drivers to be prepared for near zero visibility at times on the roads this morning. The fog is expected to dissipate later this morning.
