Two road work projects in the County of Grande Prairie

The County of Grande Prairie says that CN Rail will close Range Road 93 between Highway 43 and Township Road 712 to repair damaged track at the railway crossing Thursday.

The closure will begin at 9 a.m. and is expected to end at 7 p.m. the same day.

Motorists will be asked to detour using Highway 43, Range Roads 92 and 94 and Township Road 712.

The County also says that starting Friday, Township Road 742 east of Range Road 31 will be open to local traffic only.

Spot repairs are being done.

Drivers are asked to detour using Township Road 30 or 32 to Township Road 744.

The County says if the weather holds, the work should be finished by mid-November.

In both instances, drivers are asked to drive carefully, obey the signs, and allow extra travel time.
