Oct 24, 2021 | 11:47 AM

The Grande Prairie Storm’s winless streak was extended to five games Saturday night, as they fell 7-1 to the Bonnyville Pontiacs in the second game of a back-to-back.

Michael Fairfax opened the scoring for the Pontiacs just over five minutes in the first to give his group a 1-0 lead.

Shortly after, the Storm got a powerplay and evened things up at 1-1. Ty Toews netted his first of the season, with Edge Lambert and Benjaman Keon picking up the assists.

With under five to play in the opening frame, A.J. Macaulay would put the Pontiacs back up in front, where he scored his fourth of the season.

The Pontiacs wouldn’t look back, as they would go on to score five unanswered goals cursing to a 7-1.

Fairfax would pick up four points on the evening in the Bonnyville victory.

Aidan Feddema stopped 34 of 41 shots in the loss.

The Storm are back in action Tuesday, October 26 when they hit the road to take on the Fort McMurray Oil Barons
