Football Alberta has announced their provincial playoff schedule.

The St. Joesph Celtics will begin their provincial playoff journey on Saturday, November 13 when they head to Edmonton to take on the Austin O’Brien Crusaders.

St. Joesph will be playing in the Tier II playoffs and are currently ranked as the best team in the division. Austin O’Brien is unranked in Tier II, as they play their regular-season games in Tier I. The game will be played at the Jasper Place Bowl at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The announcement of the playoff schedule comes on the heals of the Celtics claiming a 58-7 victory over Sexsmith in the Peace Bowl this past Saturday.

In the regional based Tier I division, the Grande Prairie Composite High School Warriors will head to Red Deer to take on the Lindsay Thurber Raiders on November 12.

The Warriors are coming off a win over High Prairie in the Athabasca Bowl this past Saturday.

Peace River is ranked as the nine seed and will play number six Sturgeon in St. Albert in the Tier III playoffs.

Sexsmith will represent Tier IV and host St. Paul next week at the CKC Field. Sexsmith is ranked as the top seed in Tier IV and finished the season with a 7-1 record.

High Prairie finished the Tier IV season as the number four ranked team, and will faceoff against Ardrossan.

Both Tier III and IV games take place on November 13.

The provincial finals will take place at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on November 26 & 27. The full schedule can be found at Football Alberta’s website.
