Nov 9, 2021 | 1:40 PM

RCMP in Peace River are investigating an incident along Highway 2 in late October that led to severe eye damage for a passing motorist as a result of an object being thrown out of a moving truck’s window.

The incident occurred between 2:15 and 2:30 a.m. on October 22, when authorities believe a truck driving westbound near the Peace River Airport had an object tossed out of it, which hit the windshield of an eastbound vehicle.

The thrown object shattered the windshield of the eastbound vehicle and led to the severe damage to the driver’s eye.

Anyone who has information on this incident or dash cam footage is urged to come forward to the Peace Regional RCMP at 780-624-6677, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
