Nov 9, 2021 | 5:53 PM

Peace Regional RCMP are investigating a robbery with a firearm that happened Monday, November 8, on the Woodland Cree First Nation.

Police say that just before 11 p.m. in Cadotte Lake, two men armed with a rifle approached a parked security vehicle and banged on the window.

What Mounties describe as “an interaction” then took place between the two men and security personnel.

The rifle was fired. The suspects got into the vehicle, assaulted the security guard, and took off with the vehicle.

The employee was treated for injuries at the scene.

RCMP are looking for a black 2020 Jeep Compass with an Alberta license plate that reads CFW 8554.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact Peace Regional RCMP Detachment at 780-624-6677.

Any potential witnesses who want to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
