Grande Prairie Fire Department responds to Patterson fire

On Friday evening at approximately 8:00 p.m. the Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire in Patterson.

Upon arrival there was smoke and fire coming from the basement.

Fire crews quickly suppressed the fire, preventing the fire from spreading onto the remainder of the residence as well as neighbouring structures.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident, however multiple residents were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
