UPDATE: Heavy police presence in Grimshaw expected to last several more hours

UPDATE: Peace Regional RCMP say they expect there to be a police presence around a Grimshaw home in the area of 45 Avenue and 53 Street for several more hours, though the Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team is no longer part of the investigation.

Mounties are conducting a search at a home near 45 Avenue and 53 Street in Grimshaw.

RCMP say this is related to three reports to police on Sunday.

The first report was of a break and enter. After that came a stolen vehicle complaint around 4 p.m., then a report of a stolen vehicle and stolen firearms report in the Grimshaw area at around 9:30 p.m.

Mounties say more information will be released as it becomes available.
