Beaverlodge’s Geoff Walker to represent Canadian curling team at 2022 Beijing Olympics

Beaverlodge’s Geoff Walker is off to his first Olympic Games.

Walker and Team Gushue defeated Team Jacobs 4-3 Sunday night in Saskatoon at the Canadian Olympic Curling Trials to secure the right to represent Canada at the Beijing Olympics.

“The trials is always a little bit of a different beast. It is the best event in curling and it’s every four years,” said Walker in an interview with EverythingGP prior to the trails in Saskatoon.

Walker earned the victory on his 36th birthday.

The 2022 Olympic curling tournament will get underway on February 2, just before the opening ceremony of the winter games.
