Alberta expanding third COVID doses for adults aged 60 and up on December 6
EDMONTON, AB – The Alberta Government announced Wednesday that COVID-19 booster doses will be available to adults aged 60 and older starting Monday, December 6.
Those wanting to book their appointment can do so starting December 2, but it must come six months after receiving their second dose.
All other Albertans aged 18-plus will be notified when the next age group is able to book appointments. Additional age groups will be announced as quickly as possible.
The province says evidence indicates that vaccine effectiveness against COVID-19 infection appears to wane over time.
