Guhle invited to World Junior camp, traded to Oil Kings in same day

A guy who started playing minor hockey in Grande Prairie had a big day Wednesday.

Kaiden Guhle is part of a blockbuster trade in the Western Hockey League.

Guhle is being sent from the Prince Albert Raiders to the Edmonton Oil Kings in exchange for forward Carson Latimer, defenceman Eric Johnston and four draft picks, two of which are first-rounders.

Guhle has also been invited to Hockey Canada’s selection camp for the World Junior Hockey Championship.

He won silver with Canada at the 2021 tournament.
