Broken Tine Orchard and Winery

Dec 3, 2021 | 9:00 AM

Broken Tine Orchard & Winery located Southwest of Beaverlodge in the Rio Grande area, is a 4th generation farm with the Alde Family homesteading the land in 1926. In 2011 they diversified by planting Haskap Berries, Canada’s superfruit. Nutrition for the body. A smile for the tastebuds.

Their focus is on locally produced, quality food.

Broken Tine has U-Pick berry picking in July. They also sell frozen Haskap berries and wine, plus they have local partnerships to have their haskap berries featured in ice cream, desserts, muffins, craft beer and more.

Did you know that haskap berries come in different varieties? Broken Tine features Aurora and Indigo.

Did you know that Alberta gown haskap berries are also known at blue honeysuckle berries?

At Broken Tine, they are dedicated and passionate about producing a nutritional haskap berry, grown with the consumer in mind. Berries are grown naturally with no pesticides applied to trees or fruit.
