Man arrested after stolen vehicle strikes fences
The Grande Prairie RCMP says they are investigating a single-vehicle collision involving a truck that drove through fences in the area of 68 Avenue and Grande Banks Drive.
Police say they received a report about the crash at 5:27 p.m. on December 6. RCMP along with fire and EMS attended the scene.
An investigation into the collision found that the pick-up truck had been reported stolen and had been driving southbound on Kateri Drive when it crossed 68 Avenue and struck a fence. The truck then drove across private property and struck another fence near 67 Avenue.
A 31-year-old male was driving the pick-up at the time of the collision and was the only occupant of the vehicle. He is facing charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property by crime and mischief.
