Charges upgraded against Alberta man accused of killing mother and son: RCMP

HINTON, Alta. – Police have upgraded charges against a man accused in the deaths of a 24-year-old mother and her 16-month-old son in west-central Alberta.
RCMP say Robert Major, who is 53, now faces two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of indignity to human remains.
Major was originally charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of indignity to human remains.
RCMP said the woman, Mchale Busch, and her son, Noah McConnell, died Sept. 16 a day before they were reported missing.
