Storm split games on southern road trip

The Grande Prairie Storm picked up a win and a loss on the weekend to wrap up a four-game Southern Alberta road trip with a record of 2-2.

On Saturday night, Robert Pizzey scored the game-winner with a little over seven minutes left in the third period, as the Storm edged the Blackfalds Bulldogs 3-2.

Hudson Foley and Lukas Konashuk also scored for the Storm, while Aidan Feddema made 26 saves for the win.

On Sunday, the Storm dropped a 4-1 decision in Camrose, as the Kodiaks scored three times on the power play to pick up the win.

Connor Rooney had the lone goal for the Storm, while Feddema made 30 saves in taking the loss in goal.

The Storm and the rest of the AJHL are now on their Christmas break.

The Storm will close off 2021 on New Year’s Eve, when they host the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in a 3 pm start at the Coca-Cola Centre.
