Alberta reports record 4,000 new COVID-19 cases, local data not being reported until January 4

Alberta recorded 4,000 new cases of COVID-19 for December 29, resulting in a 30 per cent test positivity rate.

Across the province, there are 323 people in hospital (down 26) and 48 people in the ICU (down 11).

The province mentioned that COVID-19 data will be limited over the holidays and added there will be no local numbers reported until January 4.

As of December 28, the City of Grande Prairie had 47 active cases, while the County of Grande Prairie had 45 active cases.
