Storm open southern road trip with a win in Calgary

The Grande Prairie Storm kicked off the 2022 portion of their schedule on a positive note Tuesday night.

Robert Pizzey scored twice, including an empty netter, as the Storm beat the Calgary Canucks 5-2.

Cam Vassos, Ty Toews, and Ben Keon also scored for the Storm, who trailed 1-0 after 20 minutes, but led 3-1 after two periods.

Easton Inglis had both goals for the Canucks, who directed 21 shots at Storm netminder Aidan Feddema.
