No physician coverage at Fairview Health Complex to close for 12-hour period Thursday evening

Alberta Health Services (AHS) says the Fairview Health Complex emergency department (ED) will be without physician coverage for 12 hours starting Thursday, January 6 at 7:00 p.m.
Physician coverage will resume at 7:00 a.m. on January 7. For the time being, AHS will continue working to ensure residents have access to the care they need during this time.
Nursing staff will remain on-site at the ED to provide triage and assessments, as well as refer patients to emergency departments in surrounding communities.
Anyone currently seeking emergency care is asked to call 911.
