Inmate dies in Grande Cache federal prison

An inmate at a federal prison in northwestern Alberta has died.

Correctional Service Canada says Maxime Boucher died on Wednesday at the Grande Cache Institution.

The cause of his death was not released.

The service says he was serving time for attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery, use of firearm, assault, and other offences.
