Grande Prairie records 10 new COVID-19 cases, 38 recoveries
The City of Grande Prairie recorded 10 new COVID-19 cases along with 38 recoveries for January 18, bringing the active number of cases to 369 (down 27).
The County of Grande Prairie added five new cases and 14 recoveries over the past 24 hours. It now has 99 active cases (down nine).
Across Alberta, 3,837 new cases were identified from 10,005 tests over the last 24 hours, resulting in a test positivity rate of 38.1 per cent. There are now 67,534 active cases in the province.
Provincial officials say with the rollout of rapid tests to most households, the actual number of new COVID-19 infections in the province is likely higher than what is being reported.
