Alberta Junior Hockey League history was made Tuesday night at Bonnett’s Energy Centre.

Spruce Grove Saints goalie Tristan Martin became the first netminder in the league’s 58-year history to score a goal.

Martin fired the puck from behind his own net into the open Storm goal in the final minute of the Saints 6-3 win over the Grande Prairie Storm, handing the Storm their third loss in as many nights.

Nathaniel Bierd, Lukas Konashuk, and Evan Gass replied for the Storm, while Connor MacKenzie made 29 saves in the loss.

The Storm return to action Friday night as they begin a road trip in Lloydminster.
