UPDATE: Freezing rain warnings ended for Peace Region

UPDATE: The freezing rain warning issued for the Peace Region has ended.

Freezing rain warnings are now in place for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview, Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning, and Hinton-Grande Cache forecast areas.

Environment Canada says freezing rain is expected to start near the B.C. border this evening and move east overnight.

The weather office says people should consider postponing non-essential travel as freezing rain will make roads, walkways, and parking lots slippery.

The forecast says the temperature is supposed to rise to -7 by morning. It also says there is a chance of rain showers tomorrow, along with wind and a predicted high of plus 4.
