Grande Prairie area placed under wind warning

UPDATE: The wind warning issued for the Grande Prairie area has ended.

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the Grande Prairie area.

The area is in place for the City and County of Grande Prairie as well as the MD of Greenview.

Strong winds with gusts as high as 90 km/h have developed. Winds are forecast to weaken throughout the morning.

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Motorists are also being asked to adjust their driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
