The Western Alberta RCMP Rural Crime Reduction Unit has charged three individuals following a search warrant conducted on Dec. 29 in the County of Grande Prairie.

RCMP says they executed the search warrant at a rural property near Dimsdale just west of Grande Prairie.

During their search, police recovered two stolen cargo trailers, tools, ATV, 2018 Ford F-150, three firearms, approximately 40 grams of meth, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and $2,200 in Canadian currency, which are believed to be proceeds of crime.

As a result, Mounties say 30-year-old Jessica Hollands, 37-year-old Andrew MacPherson, and 44-year-old Jeremy MacNaughton, all from the County of Grande Prairie, have each been charged with four counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Authorities add MacNaughton has additionally been charged with possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, as well as several firearms offences.

All three have been released from custody and are set to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on February 16, 2022.

“Our unit remains dedicated to identifying, disrupting, and charging those responsible for property and drug offences in rural Alberta communities and bringing them before the courts; and to recover and return stolen property to its rightful owners,” says Sgt. Chris Power of the Rural Crime Unit.

“In this case, we were able to return stolen property to hard-working small business owners whose livelihoods depend on the vehicles and tools these individuals chose to steal”.
