County to begin residential snow removal Monday

Feb 4, 2022 | 12:42 PM

The County of Grande Prairie says it will begin with residential snow removal starting on Monday.

Snow removal will begin in Clairmont from 100 Avenue to 116 Avenue, as well as the Hamlet of Hythe.

During the snow removal process, parking restrictions will be in place in these areas between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Once those areas are complete, crews will move into the subdivisions of Whispering Ridge and Westlake in Clairmont, followed by Wedgewood, Taylor Estates and Maple Ridge.

The progress on snow removal will depend on the road and weather conditions.

County residents are reminded to watch for the digital “No Parking” signs when entering select residential areas in the region. When the signs are lit, temporary parking restrictions are in place.

Administration says vehicles left on the street when parking restrictions are in place may be ticketed or towed.

Residents in the County are also reminded to avoid piling snow onto roadways, as this could result in a $100 fine.
