Potholes popping up in Grande Prairie from unseasonably warm weather
With the recent stretch of unseasonably warm weather settling in over the past week, potholes have begun to appear on roads throughout Grande Prairie.
In a normal year, crews will usually begin filling potholes in late March and early April, but not in February.
However, Assistant Manager of Transportation and Parks for the City of Grande Prairie Wade Nellis says they have crews working full steam ahead trying to maintain the roads.
“We’re definitely putting out pothole crews earlier than we typically would. We do have crews working around the clock right now, so we’re dedicating resources to this on both our day, afternoon, and night shifts,” explained Nellis.
