A pair from Grande Prairie is facing multiple charges following an attempted traffic stop in the city in January, which eventually led police to seize drugs and weapons.

Grande Prairie RCMP say they saw a vehicle with a burned-out taillight when they were patrolling the city back on January 14 at roughly 12:30 a.m. The officer then attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed.

Mounties decided not to pursue the vehicle.
