Extreme cold warning ended for Grande Prairie area

Feb 20, 2022 | 3:47 PM

UPDATE: The extreme cold warning issued for the Grande Prairie area has ended.

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the Grande Prairie area.

The warning also includes the County of Grande Prairie, M.D. of Greenview, the Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning area and most of the rest of northern Alberta.

The weather office says the region can expect wind chill values to drop into the minus 40s both Sunday and Monday night.

If you’re outside, Environment Canada asks you to dress warm and have a layer that is wind resistant.
