Grande Prairie RCMP looking for assault suspects

Grande Prairie RCMP are investigating an assault with a weapon they say happened at a local grocery store.

Police were called to the store located at 100 Street and 84 Avenue just after 7 p.m. on February 7.

Mounties say two suspects, a male and female, tried to leave the store without paying for two shopping carts full of groceries.

Employees who tried to stop them from leaving were hit with bear spray. The suspects then fled. Police do not know what direction they went or what, if any, vehicle may have been involved.

The male suspect is described as:

  • 6’0”
  • 25-30 years old
  • Black hair
  • Last seen wearing:
  • Black face mask
  • Black toque
  • Black hooded sweatshirt with grey lettering, described as Peter brother and Dawson Creek.
  • Black pants

The female suspect is described as:

  • 5’9”
  • 25-30 years old
  • Brown hair
  • Last seen wearing:
  • Glasses
  • Wearing a blue mask
  • Hooded sweatshirt
  • Green jacket
