Evergreen Park officials pleased with latest edition of the Agri-Show

Evergreen Park officials are calling the most recent edition of the Foster’s Peace Country Classic Agri-Show a success.

General Manager Dan Gorman says they are “very, very pleased” with how the show turned out.

“We had great crowds on the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday,” said Gorman. “Very, very positive comments from everyone. Lots of smiles everywhere.”

“(This was) obviously the first time we’ve had a fairly large show without the COVID safety protocols in place and the masks and everything.”

Gorman says having the trade show on Wednesday through Friday, not Thursday through Saturday as in past years, did cause some confusion and they apologize for that.

He adds they did not have an exact attendance count, but says the number of people that attended was in the thousands.

“Very, very grateful for the turnout. People are just happy to get back out again and to touch base with a lot of the different organizations that are tied to the agricultural roots of our community.”

Gorman mentioned they are already looking forward to planning for next year.

“We hand out a survey to all the exhibitors every year and (we) certainly got some more feedback from them,” he explained.

“The Agri-Show board is getting together to decide whether to add that Saturday format back in again. With the comments that were made, they’ll decide that pretty quickly.”

The 36th edition of the Agri-Show ran from March 9-12.
