The Fort St. John Huskies are once again NWJHL champions.

In the final minute before the first intermission, the Kings ended up taking two penalties, forcing them to play in a five-on-three situation to start the second frame.

The Kings Simon Hamilton was issued a hooking penalty with 51 seconds remaining and Carter Berg was assessed a double minor for spearing just as the period had expired.

In the second frame, Jared Winkel needed all of 44 seconds to restore the Huskies one-goal lead. Colby Busche would also score with under five to play in the second period to give the Huskies a 3-1 lead going into the third.
