Grimshaw woman wins $100,000 in Western Max lottery

A Grimshaw woman is $100,000 richer after she discovered the extra she added to her Western Max ticket was a winner for the March 4 draw.

Lori-Ann Daly could not believe her eyes when she saw she held the winning ticket and checked her ticket four times on the Lotto Spot app before sharing the news with her husband.

“I ran into the garage holding out my phone,” she recalled. “I said to my husband, ‘Look!’”

She showed him the app while bursting into what she called “the happy dance” with a laugh.

Daly had purchased her winning ticket from Tags Food & Gas located on 5003 McKenzie Road in Grimshaw the morning of the March 4 draw.
