UPDATE: Fort St. John mother and children found safe

Update two: Police say the Amber Alert has ended. Police say the suspect is in custody and the children and their mother are safe. The RCMP in thank the public for their assistance.

Update: Alberta RCMP has issued an Interprovincial Emergency Alert in support of the Amber Alert issued in Fort St. John.

Fort St. John RCMP has issued an Amber Alert for two abducted children and their mother.

Police say the mother, Dawn Bellamy, along with her two children, 4-year-old Liam Bellamy, and 10-month-old Myra Bellamy, were last seen at 8919 91 Street in Fort. St John B.C. at roughly 11 a.m. on March 24.

Mounties believe Jason Dalrymple has taken the mother and her two children against their will from their home in Fort St. John. Police say, Dawn, Liam, and Myra Bellamy are in danger while they are under the suspects’ presence.

The abducted 4-year-old boy is described to be 4-feet-tall with black hair and brown eyes. The abducted 10-month-old girl is described to be 2-feet-tall with light hair and blue/hazel eyes.

The mother is described to be 26 years old, standing 5’5″ weighing 110 pounds with long dark brown/black hair. She has a scar on her forehead and could be wearing blue glasses.

Authorities say the 36-year-old suspect, Jason Dalrymple, is described to be standing 5’11” weighing 200 pounds, with balding light brown hair, often seen wearing hats or toques, and has a light brown/reddish mustache/goatee.

Mounties say the suspect is possibly travelling in a 2004 olive green Jeep Grand Cherokee with a BC licence plate HT1 84A. The suspect is believed to be headed east, possibly to Ontario.

If you see them or the suspect and his vehicle, do not approach, call 9-1-1.
