Spirit River’s Yaremko named U-Sports Player of the Year & First-Team All-Canadian

Spirit River native Nolan Yaremko has been presented another piece of hardware after his stellar season with the Mount Royal Cougars men’s hockey team.

On Wednesday, U-Sports announced Yaremko has been named the country’s Player of the Year.

He has also been named to U-Sports First-Team All-Canadian men’s hockey team.

Yaremko had 39 points in 20 games this season for the Cougars and led them to the Canada West semi-final.

Earlier this year, Yaremko was named to the Canada West U-Sports men’s hockey First-Team All-Star, their Player of the Year and presented the award for player with the best Sportsmanship/Ability.
