Valleyview RCMP seek dashcam footage following hit and run Tuesday night

RCMP are investigating a hit and run collision that occurred Tuesday night in Valleyview.

On March 29 at roughly 11:00 p.m. Valleyview RCMP received a report of a person on the road in the area of Highway 43 and Range Road 230A.

Upon arrival, police say they learned a 50-year-old Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation resident had been hit by a vehicle.

The victim was transported to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash camera footage of Highway 43 near Range Road 230A from 09:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on March 29 to come forward.
