Seasonal street sweeping underway in Grande Prairie
The City of Grande Prairie has officially rolled out its street sweepers to clear arterial roads.
Street sweeping of arterial roads takes place 24 hours a day, from 10 p.m. Sunday to 10 p.m. Friday. It includes cleaning debris from the roadway, medians, concrete barriers and boulevards.
The sweeping of both arterial and collector roads as well as transit routes is expected to last until late May, weather dependant.
The city says in a release, upon completion of arterial roads, the city says they will begin sweeping secondary roads, then residential roads. Residential street sweeping is expected to begin in late May, and end by the end of June.
