Annual City Scrub starts May 1

Residents of Grande Prairie are being asked to participate in the City’s annual, week-long City Scrub from May 1-7.

The community clean-up encourages the people of Grande Prairie to pick up and properly dispose of trash that has accumulated over the winter.

The city says It only takes 20 minutes to pick up garbage in parks, neighbourhoods and other areas close to your home. After collecting litter, it can be disposed of in curbside carts with your regular household trash.

The City will be supplying free garbage bags and gloves to those participating in the clean-up which can be picked up at:

• City Hall
• Muskoseepi Park
• Eastlink Centre
• Grande Prairie Museum
• City Service Centre

If participants’ garbage collection bags do not fit into their curbside bin, a bag tag at the listed facilities can be picked up at no charge.
