Structure fire displaces Country Club neighbourhood family

Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire last night in the Country Club neighbourhood.
The call came into the Grande Prairie fire department around 7:49 last night, with the first fire engine arriving on the scene five minutes later.
In total, two engines, a ladder truck, and a chief vehicle were deployed.
Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the basement of a home. They were able to quickly control the fire and keep it from spreading to the rest of the house and to neighbouring properties.
