Rainfall warnings issued for parts of northwestern Alberta

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Peace-River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning forecast area.

It takes in everything from the Birch Hills and Saddle Hills north through Northern Sunrise County.

The weather office says there could be 35-50 millimetres of rain; around an inch and two-tenths to almost two inches under the old scale by Saturday evening.

Environment Canada says localized flooding is possible in low-lying areas.

There are also rainfall warnings in effect for the High Level-Rainbow Lake-Fort Vermillion-Mackenzie Hwy and Wabasca-Peerless Lake-Gift Lake-Cadotte Lake areas.
