Former Storm player backstops opening win for Canada at world championship

Former Storm player Logan Thompson made 18 saves as Canada beat Germany 5-3 in its first game at the World Men’s Hockey Championship on Friday.
It was Canada’s opening game at the tournament being played in Finland.
Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois had two goals.
Canada’s next game is against Italy on Sunday.
